User Documentation

We’ve included steps here to perform common tasks when using the BlueG site. This includes creating your web dashboard and adding apps and themes.

The basics Create your web dashboard Adding apps Applying themes Restore your web dashboard from backup

THE BASICS

With BlueG you create your own ‘web dashboard’ - an area personalized by you with the news, reviews, blog feeds and other apps that interest you. You add these apps via the Apps Gallery. Once an app has been selected by you from the Gallery, it will be automatically added to your web dashboard. You can add and remove apps to your heart’s content.

Your web dashboard consists of tabs and each of these tabs can contain one or more apps. You can name each of these tabs to organize your interests e.g. you might have one or more News tabs and other tabs for Music, Entertainment, Sport and so on.

You can change the look & feel of your web dashboard by applying a theme background image. There are hundreds of themes to choose from, available from the Themes Gallery. You can apply a different theme to each of your web dashboard tabs.

CREATE YOUR WEB DASHBOARD

The first step is to enter some basic information to help us make your web dashboard! When you first visit the BlueG site, you will see the landing page.

1 Click Sign up.

2 Type your email address and click GO. Alternatively you can sign up via Facebook, Twitter or Google+.

3 Enter and confirm your password and select from the other options presented.

4 Choose some interest categories (optional). This will pre-set your web dashboard with additional content intended to match your interests. You can change this content at any time following creation of your web dashboard.

5 Choose a theme from the default selection shown (optional). You can change the theme at any time following creation of your web dashboard.

6 Enter some personal information such as your location (optional). Providing this information better helps us to tailor your web dashboard to suit your needs (your location is used to customize the custom Google search aspect of the site).

7 Click Done! See my web dashboard.

Your web dashboard is created!

ADDING APPS

The App Gallery has hundreds of apps to choose from - everything from news & reviews apps, games and special interest apps for topics such as music, entertainment and sport.

1 Login to your web dashboard.

2 Click the right-hand Add Content button, followed by Apps.

3 Browse the App Gallery using the categories left-hand menu. The gallery also includes a ‘free text’ search box allowing you to search for apps using keywords.

4 From the selection of apps shown, click on the app’s ‘...’ button followed by Add App. Alternatively, for further information relating to that app, click on the app’s title or preview image. On the app’s details page, click Add this app.

5 Click Home to return to your web dashboard.

The chosen app(s) have now been added to your web dashboard.

APPLYING THEMES

The Theme Gallery contains hundreds of themes to choose from. Each of your web dashboard tabs can include a different theme and you can change themes as often as you like.

1 Login to your web dashboard.

2 Click the right-hand Add Content button, followed by Themes.

3 Browse the Theme Gallery using the categories left-hand menu. The gallery also includes a ‘free text’ search box allowing you to search for themes using keywords.

4 From the selection of themes shown, click on the theme’s ‘...’ button followed by Apply Theme. Alternatively, for further information relating to that theme, click on the theme’s title or preview image. On the theme’s details page, click Apply this theme.

5 Click Home to return to your web dashboard.

The chosen theme has now been applied to your web dashboard’s active tab.

RESTORE YOUR GAMING SPACE (FROM BACKUP)

Your web dashboard is automatically backed-up on a weekly basis. This means that, should you encounter problems with your content or mistakenly delete tabs or apps, you can restore your space to a former point in time.

Please note: By restoring your web dashboard to an earlier point in time, this could erase certain tab or app settings that were applied after the restore point.

1 Make sure you are logged in.

2 Click the top-right avatar picture, followed by Account settings.

3 Click Restore Settings.

4 Browse the restore points and click Restore from here. You will need to confirm your selection.

Your web dashboard will be restored based on the particular restore point you selected.

We hope the above steps help you to get started with your web dashboard. However, if you need further assistance, please message us using the Help form.
